QR codes that keep working.
Make one right here, free, with no account. Then make dynamic codes you can edit after printing — and that carry on working if you ever stop paying.
- Scans are never capped, on any plan, including free
- Cancel and your codes keep resolving — they freeze, they don’t die
- PNG, SVG, PDF and EPS. No watermark, no ads
- Download a static backup of every code, any time
Make a QR code
The thing nobody else will promise
Search for QR code complaints and you find the same story over and over: someone printed five hundred flyers, the trial ended or the subscription lapsed, and every code became a page asking them to subscribe. We built this company around not doing that.
The Permanence Promise
Your dynamic codes keep resolving, whatever happens to your subscription. If you downgrade, cancel, or your card fails, codes over your plan’s limit become frozen rather than disabled.
Frozen means the code still redirects to its destination and still records every scan. You simply cannot edit it until you free up a slot or upgrade again. There is no state in our system where a code you have printed stops working because of money.
This is written into our Terms of Service, not just this page. Read exactly how it works — including what happens if we go out of business.
What you get
Codes you can edit
A dynamic code points at a short address we control and forwards it to wherever you say. Change the destination whenever you like — a new menu, a seasonal offer, a moved page — without reprinting anything. Every scan is counted.
Analytics that never stop
Scans by day, device, operating system, browser, country and city. We never stop recording them, on any plan. Your plan decides how far back you can look, and when you upgrade the older data is already there waiting.
Codes that actually scan
Colours, dot shapes, corner styles, logos and call-to-action frames — with guard rails. We check contrast, quiet zone and logo coverage as you design, and tell you before you print if a code is likely to fail in the real world.
Honest pricing
Every tier sits below the closest equivalent from Bitly, Uniqode, QR TIGER and Flowcode. Monthly billing on every plan. Annual saves two months. See the comparison, with dates and sources.

Questions people actually ask
Do my QR codes expire?
No. Static codes encode their destination directly, so they physically cannot expire. Dynamic codes resolve through us, and we have committed in our Terms of Service to keep them resolving — including if you stop paying.
What happens if I cancel or downgrade?
Codes over your new plan's limit become frozen. A frozen code keeps redirecting to its destination and keeps counting scans. The only thing you lose is the ability to edit it, until you free up a slot or move back up.
Nothing you have printed stops working. There is no path in our software that turns a printed code into a dead link or a "subscribe to continue" page.
Is there really no scan limit?
Really. Not on the free plan, not on any plan. A scan costs us roughly $0.0000013 to serve at the edge — metering it would cost more to bill than to deliver. Plans differ by how many dynamic codes you can have and how far back you can look at your analytics, never by how many times those codes get scanned.
What if ScanMePlz goes out of business?
A fair question to ask a new company, so here is a concrete answer. Any time you like, you can download your Permanence Kit: a static QR code for every dynamic code you have, encoding its current destination directly, plus a CSV of every code and where it points. Those static codes work forever, with no account and no involvement from us.
We have also committed, in our Terms, to give 12 months' notice before shutting down, publish the complete list of code addresses and destinations, and keep redirects resolving throughout that period.
Do I need an account to make a QR code?
No. The generator on this page is fully functional with no account, no email address and no card. Download the PNG or SVG and it is yours. You only need an account for dynamic codes — the ones you can edit after printing and see scan analytics for.
Can I change where a code points after I have printed it?
Yes, if it is a dynamic code. That is the whole purpose of dynamic codes: the printed pattern stays the same and you change the destination behind it, as often as you like. Static codes cannot be changed — which is also exactly why they never expire.
A note from the person who built this
ScanMePlz is new, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. There are no customer logos on this page, no star ratings and no “trusted by 10,000 businesses” banner, because we do not have those things yet and making them up is where a lot of this industry starts going wrong.
What we can offer instead is a product that does what it says, pricing you can read in one go, and a guarantee written into the terms rather than onto a landing page. If something does not work, write to us — it reaches a person.
